Hi, I’m Apoorva, and creativity has always been a part of who I am.
Long before I called myself a designer, I was the kid building classroom notice boards, sketching ideas, and making handmade birthday cards for people I loved. Creating things for others always felt natural to me, and I have always believed we learn best through experimentation, building and iterating.
Although I chose engineering as my formal path, creativity never left. During university, I led the art club for two years, helping transform campus spaces through graffiti, installations, and community art.
Mentorship later introduced me to graphic design and opened a door I had not fully seen before. What began as curiosity gradually shifted my path from software engineering toward design, much of it through self learning and exploration.
Over time I found the intersection of my engineering mindset and creativity in product design. Exploring visual design, motion, branding, and UX shaped me into a design generalistwho enjoys working across disciplines while keeping people at the center.
Along the way, I have always believed in being resilientand adaptable, sharing what I learn with others and taking ownership of my own path as it continues to evolve.
Today I am pursuing my Master’s in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, continuing to design thoughtful systems and meaningful experiences.
At the heart of it all, I simply love creating things that make people feel something.
